Our Works
MOO NICHOLAS
Lin Zhihao majored in advertising design but did not follow the conventional path of a designer. After experiencing the 1998 Asian financial crisis, he cultivated resilience across multiple fields. Eventually, he returned to the origin of creation, using clay to explore a unique expression of “bringing something from nothing,” capturing the individuality of nature and animals, producing works that are simple yet full of vitality.
Influenced by clay artist Chris, he did not merely imitate reality but developed soft, rounded forms that express the “personality” of nature and animals. He later expanded his materials to include ceramics and plants, extending his work from small handicrafts to spatial installations, infusing art into daily life.

Initially avoiding city exhibitions, he realized the value of interacting with audiences during his first attempt. This led him to establish Finch Market in Kuala Lumpur, bringing stories to the city centered on Malayan tapirs and other themes. He also collaborated with the National Zoo of Malaysia to produce models and specimens, connecting art with education and conservation.
His activities have crossed urban boundaries: in Johor, he created immersive exhibitions featuring his original character “buHei,” and at Kuala Lumpur GMBB, he designed spatial presentations focused on Malayan tapirs. His brand, MOO, embodies the philosophy of “bringing something from nothing, giving life to objects.
