**Okuma Corporation**, headquartered in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, is one of the world’s leading CNC machine tool manufacturers, with a legacy spanning over 125 years. Founded in 1898 by Eiichi Okuma in Nagoya, the company began with noodle-making machines before shifting to machine tool production in 1904. In 1918, it was formally established as “Okuma Iron Works.” Today, Okuma continues to grow as a global leader in smart manufacturing.
The recent headquarters renovation was guided by the concept of “Harmony Between Technology and People,” refreshing the functionality and brand identity of its showroom, meeting rooms, and office spaces.
The showroom features a minimalist design that highlights the precision and presence of CNC machines. High-gloss flooring and spotlighting enhance the appeal of the products. At the back, a blue roundtable area and the symbolic message “OPEN POSSIBILITIES” express the company’s forward-looking spirit.
Meeting rooms are equipped with large windows that invite natural light, along with whiteboard walls that encourage creative thinking, resulting in bright and focused environments. The office area is built around wood-textured flooring and an open layout, creating a modern and comfortable workplace. Soft tones and thoughtful circulation design balance productivity with creativity.
This space, combining functionality and beauty, embodies Okuma’s philosophy of “Human-Friendly Smart Manufacturing.”
